How It All Began

1948: Our Foundation

Fresh from his training as a machine fitter, Franz Zingerle and his father started a small workshop in their family home. There, they built and repaired various machines, marking the beginning of Zingerlemetal. Franz’s determination and innovative ideas laid the foundation for a business that would one day operate on a global scale.

The Company Grows

1963-1979

By 1963, the growing demand for machines led to the workshop quickly outgrowing its original space. Fifteen years later, our business expanded to keep pace with increasing orders.

In 1979 demand led us to move into a 31,200 sq² industrial site in Schabs, providing ample space for production and allowing our team to grow to six employees.

A New Generation Steps In

1984

In 1984, Franz Zingerle’s sons, Georg and Martin, joined our company. Despite being only 20 and 26 at the time, their contributions were instrumental in helping further expand our reputation and success in the industry.

The Introduction of table & bench sets

1986

A year later, the family began producing underframes for beer garden table sets. This evolved into the professional production of folding furniture sets, diversifying the product range and marking a new chapter in our business.

After Franz Zingerle’s passing in 1992, his sons continued to lead the company.

Introducing the First Mastertent Folding Tent

1993

In 1993, the first pop-up canopy tent under the Mastertent brand was created. Success came quickly, requiring production to once again expand to meet demand.

International expansion

1995-2014

With the addition of canopy tents, the company continued to grow. Looking to expand outside of Italy, Germany became our first partner abroad in 1995. Just two years later, a branch was opened in Spain, followed by branches in France, Austria and Switzerland between 2005 and 2011. In 2017, the network expanded to include branches in the USA, the Netherlands and Poland. This international presence strengthened the position of today's Zingerle Group on the global market.

Over the years, Zingerle Group focused on adding additional offices and production facilities throughout Europe and North America. This included a new facility that processes and finishes wooden boards for our table sets and customizes tent roofs.

Zingerle group expands to the states

2017

In 2017, Zingerle Group founded our first U.S. office in Charlotte, NC. Having started off with just two employees, this new office proved small, but mighty. Over the years, this office would continue to expand and outgrow its original space, eventually leading us to our current, larger office and warehouse still located in Charlotte, NC.

The Third Generation Joins

2018

In 2018, the third generation of the Zingerle family joined our company. Georg's children Stefan, Thomas and Sonja brought fresh perspectives and new ideas. Meanwhile, Georg Zingerle took over the sole management of our company group, now trading as Zingerle AG.

Our new House of Brands

2023

In 2023, Zingerle Group expanded our brand portfolio to include a second canopy tent brand, Ecotent.

This expansion allowed our team to serve a wider range of professional needs and budgets with Mastertentas our premium-grade andEcotentas our performance-grade tents.

Alongside our expansion in the canopy tent industry, we decided to give our second product group centered on beer garden table sets its own identity. As part of this decision, RUKU1952was formed.

All three product brands sit under our umbrella brand Zingerle Group. Today, we have over 400 employees worldwide who work together to design, manufacture, and deliver high-quality products that meet the diverse needs of our customers. With decades of expertise and a commitment to innovation, we continue to set industry standards in craftsmanship, durability, and customer satisfaction.

Another reason to celebrate

2023: 75 years of Zingerle Group

2023 was a very special year - we celebrated the 75th anniversary of our family business. As the certificate shows, we were first registered as part of the Chamber of Commerce in Bolzano, Italy on 11 February 1948. We celebrated this milestone at Oktoberfest in Munich with employees from all over the world, including the U.S.

The U.s. Expands

2024

In 2024, our U.S. team expanded to Denver, CO. This marked the first move for the team outside of their Charlotte, NC headquarters which not only strengthened their presence in The States but also broadened Zingerle Group's expertise in the Western market.
