We, the Zingerle Group, have been a family business since 1948, dedicated to the passionate manufacture of folding gazebos and beer garden table sets. With production facilities in Italy and Romania we focus on the highest quality and detailed craftsmanship. Our folding gazebos consist of 463 individual parts, which we assemble in 483 manual steps. Every step, from cutting the aluminium profiles to sewing the fabrics, is carried out with the utmost care and precision. The same applies to our folding furniture in which we invest 280 work steps with great dedication. We carefully assemble 136 parts into a large whole. This dedication and attention to detail are at the heart of our products and ensure that these carefully manufactured folding gazebos and furniture will last a lifetime.

Sustainable passion

Thomas Zingerle, the son of our CEO Georg Zingerle, has a close eye on many of these work steps: He is Head of Folding Tent Production at our headquarters in Italy and exemplifies the corporate philosophy to his work colleagues.

"A product made with craftsmanship is a sustainable product and sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a fundamental corporate philosophy. Our products are designed to last a lifetime, which is not only a great benefit for the environment, but also for those who purchase our products. I am convinced that a long-lasting product that does not have to be replaced after only a few years, thus avoiding waste and conserving resources, makes a significant difference," he explains. "After all, what is more sustainable than a product that lasts a lifetime?"

This is precisely the view that all employees have held and practised since the company was founded. This is the only way to achieve a long-lasting end product in a large production chain.

Short transport routes and reforestation

For the environment

As a company dedicated to production, we bear great responsibility for the environment and therefore not only the manufacturing method of our products is crucial, but also the origin of the materials used. To minimise negative impacts, we source our aluminium and our steel from Italy, where they are also processed. We manufacture the aluminium structures for our folding gazebos and the base frames for our tables and benches at our headquarters in the small Italian village of Natz-Schabs. This short transport route contributes significantly to the reduction of our ecological footprint .

We take a similar approach in Romania: In Zetea, a small community in Transylvania, we process wood from local forests into comfortable seating.To further improve our environmental contribution, we launched a reforestation programme in 2020, under which we reforest trees. Together with the Transylvanian forestry authority, we have since planted 29,950 trees, includingoaks, firs, spruces and maples.Our aim is to increase this number every year and thus actively contribute to reforestation.

Moreover, the roofs of our folding gazebos are made to measure and printed with our customers' individual designs in our sewing and printing shop in Romania. We use the resulting fabric remnants to sew practical shopping bags that everyone who buys a folding gazebo receives as a gift.

Georg Zingerle travels to Romania several times a year with great dedication and has already spent many hours on planes and in cars to get there. For him, these trips are far more than just professional obligations - they are an expression of his deep commitment to the well-being of his employees on site. This reinforces his role as both a strong leader and a compassionate human connection within our company.

"Sub Cetate in Romania has become like a second home for me. I always enjoy coming here," says Georg Zingerle.

His visits are characterised by warmth and closeness. He never misses the traditional summer party because he wants to be there when his employees and their families celebrate together. These celebrations are more than just events; they are a living community and proof of how important interpersonal relationships are to Georg Zingerle.

"It's important to me that we don't just feel like colleagues, but like one big family," he often emphasises.

The production halls are constantly being expanded and equipped with innovative machines. These investments are a clear signal: he wants everyone involved in the company to grow - not only the employees in his immediate proximity in Italy, but also the hard-working hands in Romania.

When we celebrated the 20th anniversary of our successful collaboration with Cetate Production in 2023, Anna-Maria, the manager of the production facility in Romania, commented:
